Here’s a little about me… I am Nationally Board Certified in Massage and Bodywork and am licensed as a Massage Therapist in the state of Illinois. I also still hold a certification in the state of Indiana. I am also a Certified Fitness Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. I am passionate about educating and empowering people with the knowledge they need to live a healthier, happier lifestyle!
I have been a massage therapist for 13 years. I love every minute of every day with my job. It is the most satisifying and fulfilling feeling to hear “that was the best massage ever”!
In 2012, I received my certification in fitness training and in the fall of 2014, completed my certification in fitness nutrition. I feel this brings my career to a full circle and I am able to provide all the wellness my clients need.
A Passion for Natural Solutions
My passion for natural solutions began a few years ago when I was experiencing major digestive problems. I was stressed and going through a big change in my life, however anything I ate was making me nausous and uncomfortable. I could not pinpoint one food that was good or any that were bad. The symptoms came and went and were at times disabling. I was hospitalized twice. With the help of my doctors, we did everything we could to treat it – cutting out certain foods, using over-the-counter and prescription medications – nothing worked. I underwent a gall bladder scan, actually hoping something would be wrong! It wasn’t. My gall bladder was functioning just fine.
At that point, I was at the end of my rope. I was ready to anything else to help – even colon hydrotherapy! Still no relief. A fellow massage therapist introduced me to an essential oil blend and I was hooked right away. I had used essential oils for years but mostly just for aromatic purposes. I decided to try this blend for my issues and see what would happen. Within a month, I was feeling better. Within three months, I felt like a whole new person!
Thus began my excitement to teach others about natural solutions. This blog was born shortly thereafter. With the help of doctors, diet changes, and natural options I was able to finally find relief. Now, with my new healthy lifestyle, I am able to maintain digestive health with essential oils and blends. Because of my experience, I am sharing, educating and empowering everyone I meet with the power of essential oils, massage therapy, fitness and nutrition.
My family is my cornerstone. My husband Tom is my life force and my biggest cheerleader! We use natural solutions regularly in our home and my stepsons benefit greatly from them.
